Privacy Policy for DrKTV

Last updated: 〔28 june 2026〕

DrKTV (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the DrKTV website and mobile application (together, the “Service”), which provides mental-health and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) education and self-help tools. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and how you can request its deletion. We are committed to protecting your privacy, and we take particular care with the sensitive nature of mental-health information.

What information do we collect?

We collect the following types of information:

Information you provide. When you register, place an order, subscribe to a subscription, contact support, respond to a survey, or fill out a form, you may provide your name, email address, phone number, and city.

Content you create in the app. The Service lets you create personal entries such as thought records, mood logs, journal notes, and responses to exercises. Because this is a mental-health app, some of this content may reveal information about your emotional or psychological state. This content is stored so the Service can show it back to you and track your progress.

Account and authentication data. When you sign in (including via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In), we collect account identifiers and authentication tokens needed to maintain your account.

Transaction and subscription data. When you purchase a subscription or course, our payment processor handles your payment details. We receive confirmation of payment, subscription status, and related records. We do not store your full card details on our servers.

Device permissions. With your consent, the app may request certain device permissions, including the camera (for example, to set a profile photo or upload an image) and, on some Android devices, read-only phone state. You can manage or revoke these permissions in your device settings at any time.

Usage and technical information. We may collect basic technical information needed to operate and secure the Service, such as app version and limited diagnostic data.

You may browse our website anonymously, but most app features require an account.

What do we use your information for?

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service and your account;
  • Process transactions and manage your subscriptions and course access;
  • Store and display the content you create (such as your entries and progress);
  • Respond to your support requests and communicate with you about your account or orders;
  • Administer surveys, promotions, or other features you choose to use;
  • Send you periodic service-related or promotional emails (you may unsubscribe at any time using the instructions in each email);
  • Maintain the security, integrity, and proper functioning of the Service, and to comply with legal obligations.

Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, or transferred to any other company for marketing purposes. We share information only as described in the “Do we disclose any information to outside parties?” section below.

How we handle sensitive (mental-health) information

We understand that the entries and responses you create may be personal and sensitive. We treat this information with care:

  • It is stored on secure, industry-standard cloud infrastructure with access controls.
  • We do not sell it and do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing.
  • It is used only to provide the Service to you (for example, to display your entries and track your progress).
  • It is not reviewed by our team except where genuinely necessary to provide support you have requested, to maintain the Service, or to comply with the law.

Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with the Service. This includes your account details, subscription records, and the content you create in the app (such as thought records, mood logs, and journal entries).

If you close your account or request deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations (for example, payment and transaction records, which we may retain for the period required by applicable law). In those cases, we retain only the minimum information necessary for those purposes, and we delete or anonymize it once it is no longer required.

How to request deletion of your data

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time. To make a request:

Please send your request from the email address associated with your account, or include your registered email or phone number, so we can verify your identity and protect your account. Once we receive and verify your request, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except for any information we are legally required to retain (such as payment records).

You can also delete specific content you have created (such as individual entries) directly within the app, and you may stop receiving promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in each email.

Do we use cookies?

〔drktv.in〕 Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not function properly without them. Our mobile app uses local device storage to keep you signed in and to remember your in-app preferences.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personally identifiable information to outside parties.

We share information only with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the Service, and only to the extent needed to perform their functions, under obligations of confidentiality. These include:

  • Google / Firebase (authentication, database, hosting, notifications, and app infrastructure);
  • Razorpay 〔and/or Apple/Google for in-app purchases〕 (payment processing and subscriptions).

These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, enforce our policies, or protect the rights, property, or safety of DrKTV, our users, or others.

Third-party links

Occasionally we may include or offer third-party products or services on our website or app. These third-party sites have their own independent privacy policies, and we have no responsibility or liability for their content or activities. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at drktvtech@gmail.com and we will delete it.

Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at drktvtech@gmail.com.

Your consent

By using our Service, you consent to this Privacy Policy.

If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date above.
